Fillers

Have you been interested in enhancing the size and shape of your lips, or defining your chin/jawline? Dermal fillers are FDA-approved compounds made from substances such as hyaluronic acid which is found naturally in the body and is safely absorbed by the body over time. HA fillers can serve more than one purpose:

  1. They can be used aesthetically to contour the face, improve the appearance of aging hands, or enhance the lips.

  2. They can be used after an accident or birth defect to restructure facial features, correct asymmetry, and raise depressed scars.

  3. They are amazing for reducing the appearance of wrinkles and creases as well as stimulating collagen production in the skin for a healthier, more youthful glow.

Fillers are long-lasting but temporary solutions that are administered by an experienced aesthetic injector, like Lea Henderson. Results vary from patient-to-patient based on the way their body responds to fillers.

RHA® Collection FAQ’s

+ What sets fillers apart from neurotoxins?

Neurotoxins, or neuromodulators, are aimed at minimizing lines in the upper facial region like frown lines and crow’s feet. Fillers primarily add volume to address wrinkles and folds in the lower face, helping to soften their appearance.

During your consultation, our providers assess both upper and lower face areas to tailor a treatment plan that aligns with your goals. Combining neurotoxin and filler treatments may be part of this comprehensive plan to help you achieve the desired outcome.

+ How does filler injection differ from using an anti-aging serum?

Filler injection involves an in-office procedure with our skilled providers to diminish lines, wrinkles, and folds from within the skin. By replenishing lost volume beneath the skin's surface, fillers help restore youthful contours. Results typically last between 12 to 15 months.

On the other hand, anti-aging hyaluronic acid (HA) serums are topical cosmetic products designed to hydrate the skin and enhance elasticity. While they may help reduce wrinkles when applied externally, they don’t address volume loss beneath the skin.

+ What is the RHA® Collection known for?

The RHA® Collection stands out for its Resilient Hyaluronic Acid (HA) dermal fillers, specifically formulated to accommodate facial dynamics. Representing a significant advancement in HA technology, the collection offers a range of formulations to suit various needs.

From addressing delicate lipstick lines with RHA Redensity™ to providing natural volume for deeper wrinkles and folds with RHA® 4, each product within the collection is tailored to deliver optimal results.

+ Why is a dynamic filler like RHA® important?

Dynamic areas of the face, such as around the mouth, require fillers with high resilience to accommodate facial movements like smiling and talking. RHA® fillers are specifically designed to adapt to these movements, ensuring a natural look both at rest and in motion.

+ What's the typical duration of results with the RHA® Collection?

Results from RHA® fillers are immediate, with effects lasting up to 15 months for wrinkles and folds and up to a year for lipstick lines. Extensive clinical studies have demonstrated the effectiveness and safety of the RHA® Collection over time.

+ How does the RHA® Collection differ from conventional fillers?

The RHA® Collection stands out as the only FDA-approved line of HA fillers specifically for dynamic lines, wrinkles, and folds. Its gentle manufacturing process preserves the structure of HA, making it closely resemble natural HA found in the skin.

+ What's the experience like during RHA® filler injection?

When receiving RHA® fillers, we may apply a local anesthetic to numb the area before administering the filler with a fine needle. While some may experience mild discomfort, any redness, swelling, or bruising typically resolves within 7-10 days.

+ Is there an age requirement for filler injections?

The RHA® Collection are intended for adults aged 22 and above.

+ What factors influence the cost of fillers?

The cost of RHA® Collection treatments varies based on individual aesthetic goals, the amount of filler used, and our recommended treatment plan.

+ Why is the RHA® Collection available only at select providers like Lea Henderson Aesthetics?

The RHA® Collection is exclusively available at practices renowned for delivering exceptional patient outcomes. Lea Henderson Aesthetics is proud to offer the RHA® Collection, ensuring clients receive the highest standard of care and results.

Treatment Areas

LIPS

Lea Henderson is an advanced aesthetic injector and well-known for her lip plumping techniques in Albuquerque, NM. Lip injections are one of the top aesthetic treatments in the United States. Dermal fillers are an extremely effective treatment option to add volume and shape to the lips. Fillers typically last 6-12 months and sometimes longer depending on the way your body metabolizes HA fillers.

Cheeks

As we age, our bodies produce less collagen and we begin to lose fullness in our cheeks, causing our face to sag and hollows to set in. This can produce a tired, worn-out look. Fillers can restore fullness in the cheeks and add projection above the cheekbones allowing you to look and feel younger!

Jawline/Chin

Men and women are paying closer attention to the shape of their jawline and for good reason. A perfectly sculpted jawline can completely change your facial profile, making you more attractive. Women desire a more heart-shaped jawline, while men are looking to increase projection above the masseter, resulting in a strong, defined jawline… kind of like a male model. Lea can help you sculpt your jawline through expert use and knowledge of HA dermal fillers in as little as one session. This is a non-invasive treatment and results vary depending on the desired look.

Temples

Did you know that temple hollows can make you look older, or even dehydrated? A smooth transition from your cheeks to your forehead makes for a balanced facial profile. Who doesn’t want that? Just like the cheeks and tear troughs, aging can affect the collagen and elastin production in the temples, resulting in a hollowed-out look. Believe it or not, this can age you. Filler injections to the temple can restore fullness and encourage collagen production in this area for continued improvement over the following months post-injections.

Nasolabial Folds

Deep nasolabial folds or marionette lines happen naturally as we age, especially to people who smile often. Filler injections into these lines will provide fullness and lessen the appearance of these creases over time. This is a temporary result that will need a touch-up every 6-12 months depending on how quickly your body absorbs HA fillers. Schedule a consultation to see if filler injections can help you improve these lines.
