NEUROTOXINS

Alright, you’ve arrived here because you’re ready to address those forehead wrinkles… before it’s too late! Just kidding, it’s never too late when it comes to Botox®! Neurotoxins or muscle relaxants such as Botox® are used to relax facial muscles that form deep wrinkles, fine lines, and creases over time. Neurotoxin injections are the #1 aesthetic procedure in the world. Patients decide to get a muscle relaxant such as Botox® for a number of reasons, which can include preventative anti-aging or hyperhidrosis treatment. When using these muscle relaxers, there is usually no downtime associated with them. The results appear gradually and disappear gradually.

FAQ

+ What Are Neurotoxins?

Neurotoxins, or muscle relaxants such as Botox® are used strategically to relax certain muscles that cause wrinkles to form. These muscles are associated with facial expressions like frowning, smiling, or laughing. Neurotoxins 'freeze' these muscles to allow the skin surrounding them to relax, resulting in a more youthful appearance.

+ How Long Do Neurotoxins Last?

3-4 months is standard, but results vary. Every patient is different depending on his or her metabolism of neurotoxins.

+ How Long Does It Take for Neurotoxins to Start Working?

It takes about 7-14 days to see maximum results from neurotoxin injections.

+ Will There be Any Downtime After Neurotoxin Injections?

After your injection, you should expect a little bit of swelling and slight redness at the injection site, which seems to go away in a matter of hours. Avoiding heavy exercise, salty foods, alcohol, and sleeping face down will help avoid excessive swelling.

+ Will I Need to Continue Neurotoxin Injections Forever?

You certainly don't have to continue with Neurotoxin injections, but after their first treatment, most patients are happy with the results and continue to receive touch-ups every 4 months.

+ When Should I Start Receiving Neurotoxin Injections For The Treatment of Wrinkles?

We recommend that most people begin in their late 20's or early 30's as preventative maintenance.

Treatment Areas

CROW’S FEET

Ah, the dreaded crow’s feet. One day you wake up and they’re just there… to stay. This is more common in individuals that spend more time outside in their youth. If you’re experiencing fine lines on the sides of your eyes, then Neurotoxins can help. They work to relax the muscles around the eyes, minimizing the severity of these lines and providing a more youthful appearance for men and women alike.

JAWLINE

Have you ever considered jawline feminization? This is an incredibly popular treatment for women looking for a softer, more feminine facial profile. Female patients with a strong masseter can slim their jawline or minimize the projection of the masseter resulting in a more feminine or heart-shaped facial structure after just one treatment.

FOREHEAD

Our foreheads are probably the first place we begin to show our age. Mainly because they bear the brunt of our expressions: shock, surprise, sadness, happiness, anger, it never ends. Botox® works to relax or ‘freeze’ the muscles in the forehead used when showing emotion or facial expressions that will cause deep creases and frown lines over time.

ARMPITS/palms/feet

Have you heard of ‘hyperhidrosis?’ If you suffer from excessive sweating in the armpits, palms, feet or other areas of the body, then you may be a good candidate for Neurotoxin injections to these areas. Many patients see a significant decrease in sweating after this treatment. Results usually last about 4 months before a touch-up is needed.
