+ What can I expect during and after the Radiesse BBL procedure?
To alleviate any discomfort that may be experienced during the treatment, a local anesthetic may be administered. After that, the Radiesse is injected into particular parts of the buttocks in order to obtain the desired aesthetic. Following the injection, there is a possibility that the injection sites will experience transient swelling, bruising, or redness. Patients are typically able to resume their normal activities immediately after the surgery; however, it is recommended that they refrain from engaging in vigorous activity for a few days.
+ Are there any risks or side effects associated with Radiesse BBL?
Bruising, swelling, redness, or discomfort at the injection sites are some of the potential side effects that may occur following the administration of Radiesse, which is generally considered to be safe. Post-Treatment Instructions
Asymmetry is not uncommon immediately following treatment. This should resolve itself in the coming weeks.
Apply an ice pack to the treated area intermittently for the first 24 hours (10 minutes on, 10 minutes off) after treatment to minimize swelling. Use a plastic ziplock bag wrapped in a paper towel or damp hand towel. The ice should not come into direct contact with your skin.
For the first 5 days, massage the treated area 5x a day for 5 minutes each time.
Avoid sun or UV lamp exposure for the first few days until the swelling and redness have resolved.
Avoid Aspirin, NSAIDs, and alcohol for the first few days after treatment.
Tylenol may be used for pain.
Sculptra® may cause redness, swelling, or bruising when first injected. A hematoma may also occur, typically resolving in hours to about 2 weeks.
After Sculptra® injections, you may experience small bumps, or papules, on the skin.
